Thomas Hill letter to William Wheeler [manuscript], 1866 Mar 16.

Writes to say that he shall be happy to assist Wheeler and [Richard] Soule, if he can, in their phonetic examination of [J. C.] Zachos' text. He continues on to say that he had never seen [Alexander Melville] Bell's book before, but that it pleased him very much. He says the of the four plans (an alphabet based on [Isaac] Pitman's, Dr.[Edwin] Leigh's alphabet, [J. C.] Zachos' text, and [Alexander Melville] Bells text) he prefers the first, and would like to examine the other three further before deciding on his second choice.
